Why is my CD burner burning CDs that sound staticy? Should I reinstall the driver or what? Also, it is a DVD player too, but DVD's wont work now. It is not a DVD burner, only player and a CD burner. Plays music CDs fine. What should I do?

why is my cd burner only burning the first 3 songs? ok i have a dell dimension 2400 with the original cd drives. i recently started using express burn to burn cd's since s media player wasnt burning right and tonight i tried express burn out and the first time it didnt burn at all the second time it burned 3 songs. im wondering is my burner dieing. any help and suggestions r greatly appreciated

CD burner ejects CD before burning is done? On my laptop, my CD burner (qsi dvd+-rw sdw-082) always ejects the CD the burning process is finished. This comes up as a "Writing Failed" error message, and the CD is no longer usable. I've lost many important files because of this. How can I fix it?

Benjamin Cuningham replied: "The burn is not failing because the disk is ejecting, the disk is ejecting because the burn is failing. It is likely a problem with the data you are trying to burn or the software that you are using."

Why is my Vaio Laptop CD Burner not burning when it confirms a successful burn? On completed of the burn, a message comes up saying that the burn was successful, when nothing is even burnt on the CD. I have tried a number of times to clean the "laser eye" using a pc wipe and a delicate hand. (I know your not meant to touch the laser, but i could see it was dirty) This seemed to help for reading CD's but not for writing. Thanks for any anwers that might help. BTW, i am using the built in XP CD burner facility, i have tried Nero software as well, but no joy with that either yes, i agree, it must be a hardware issue, Can i give the "laser eye" a through cleaning by hand... for example with alcohol? any tips? Can any cd burner burn mp3's if it doesnt specify that it burns audio but burns data? II have this free cd burning software called AVS Disk Creator that doesnt really specify if it burns audio, but I know it burns data. I want to burn an mp3 cd. Is this possible with that cd burner? Can any software that can burn anything on a cd can play music? Yes, but can I play it on the stereo?

Why does my dvd/cd burner shut my computer down in the middle of burning a dvd/cd? I have had my toshiba laptop for almost two years, and have never had any problems with my dvd/cd burner until now. Every time I try to burn something, my power shuts off while in the middle of burning. I always have to turn it back on. I am pissed off! Can someone help? The whole thing shuts off. It is not in hibernation mode.

When burning a lightcribe cd or dvd on a standard burner can I put an image on it with lightscribe later? I bought a dvd burner before I knew about the lightscribe technology and wanted to know if I can burn the lightscribe discs with a regular cd/dvd burner now and go back and put an image on it later when I get my lightscribe burner. Or does the burning and image thing have to be done at the same time?

my cd burner won't burn a cd it say it already is burning try again later. How do I fix it.? I have downloaded some music from limewire. It burned on a few days ago but now it won't work at all.
